Glenridge Bible Church was born on July 14, 1984, when 44 people gathered at
Mountainview United Church Chapel in St. Catharines. From the beginning, the
church set out to be rooted in God's Word, centered on Christ, and devoted to
faithful discipleship.
On January 27, 1985, Rev. David Jantzi was inducted as Senior Pastor and served
for 35 years. During those years, the congregation met at Lady Spencer Churchill
School on Glenridge Avenue, then moved in 1991 to 1 Lakeshore Road, where the
ministry continued for the next 21 years.
Across every season, Glenridge has remained committed to local and global missions,
children's discipleship, prayer, and AWANA. Much of this ministry has been
sustained through the faithful service of volunteers and families.
In 2012, the church moved to its current home at 310 Scott Street. This building
also created a long-term partnership with Calvary Christian School, as both
ministries steward the property together.
After Pastor Jantzi announced his retirement in 2019, the church entered a prayerful
season of pastoral search. Following that process, Pastor Bobby Halek began serving
as Senior Pastor on October 1, 2019, continuing Glenridge's commitment to biblical
preaching, Christ-centered worship, and gospel mission.
